How We Accomplish Our Mission StatementVery simply put, our mission is to advocate on behalf of our precious and often times vulnerable aging population by - First. We only recommend Certified Senior Approved Services.
- We then remain as link between the person receiving care (and/or service) and the business providing the care (and/or service)
- We are the advocate at all times for our seniors and their family.
- We provide valuable feedback to the business providing the actual service which increases their client retention
What You and Others are Concerned About when Choosing a Service, Resource or Product for Your Loved OnesWe know the elder care consumer wants the following based on our research:- Simplification. A one-call solution to locate all services that a senior may need, now and in the immediate future
- Assurances. A method to quickly differentiate the multiple listings of choices.
- Continuity. The need for a 'point' person that may be called upon as often as needed for additional assistance.
- Care Management. An affordable program that would continue to follow up with his or her loved ones while using a service.
- Advocacy. A non-threatening, positive program that, if needed, would advocate for the senior without creating a problem with the service provider.
About the Survey ProcessThe survey process is compliant with all regulations and privacy rules, including HIPAA. We survey the actual clients of each business that wants to be part of the Senior Approved Network. Every question on the survey was developed as a result of our initial research and survey of seniors and family members that had experienced the task of searching, interviewing, selecting and contracting with a service in the past. Each survey contains THE questions most important to the consumer based on actual experience. We are asking what we know a potential client wants to know prior to contracting with any outside service. Each survey is reflective of the particular category of service. For instance; a home care service (both medical and non-medical) has a completely different survey from an assisted living facility. The survey for a financial planner is completely different from a handyman service. Approved by Seniors and Their FamiliesWho is in the best position to report excellent quality care, day in and day out? The very person receiving the care. This is actually a very simple, common sense approach. We endorse businesses with a survey result of 90 per cent or higher senior satisfaction rating. Would You Like to Help? Our concept and driving force behind our mission is very different from what has always been available in the way of referrals.The more often a business hears from consumers like you, asking, Are you a senior approved service? the more open they will be to our survey process. About the Founder Barbara Mascio is the founder and president of Senior Approved Services. She is a daughter, granddaughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She is one of the eldest of ten children. She has been advocating for both the elder and child populations all her life.She founded this service based on three years of research, surveys and focus groups conducted throughout the United States. After speaking with 9,985 seniors and adult children of the senior, the entire company was designed and based on this consumer feedback.
